The theory behind raw food is fairly simple. Enzymes and vitamins are present naturally in the cells of plants. Like any vegan diet, eating raw foods automatically leads to a higher intake of fruits and vegetables. This fact may lead to many of the increased health benefits that proponents claim. While the facts and studies aren't clear as of yet, what is known is that eating raw sure can't hurt.

Many people go into an eating plan thinking it has to be all or nothing. The good thing about eating raw food is that you can incorporate the principles into your eating plan without completely revamping your lifestyle.
